Install

Make sure PGDG and PIGSTY repo available:

pig repo add pgsql -u   # add both repo and update cache

Install this extension with pig:

pig install omnigres;		# install via package name, for the active PG version
pig install omni_http;		# install by extension name, for the current active PG version

pig install omni_http -v 18;   # install for PG 18
pig install omni_http -v 17;   # install for PG 17
pig install omni_http -v 16;   # install for PG 16
pig install omni_http -v 15;   # install for PG 15
pig install omni_http -v 14;   # install for PG 14

Create this extension with:

CREATE EXTENSION omni_http;

Usage

omni_http: Basic HTTP types

The omni_http extension provides foundational HTTP types used by omni_httpc and omni_httpd.

Key Types

  • omni_http.http_method – HTTP method enum (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.)
  • omni_http.http_headers – Array type for HTTP headers. If header name is null, no header is created; if value is null, it serializes as empty string.
  • omni_http.http_request – Composite type representing an HTTP request
  • omni_http.http_response – Composite type representing an HTTP response

These types form the shared interface between the HTTP client (omni_httpc) and HTTP server (omni_httpd) extensions.
